-Unfortunately, 25% deposit will not be refundable in case of cancellation.

-Witchy Godmother Designs will have no obligation to begin your commission without the 45% deposit and your written consent that you have read these terms.

Collaboration

  • I pride myself on making every one of my clients feel beautiful when a garment is created for them. I will do all I can to make this process a comfortable and pleasant journey together.

  • I am ready to flexible to make sure your garment(s) are made to your satisfaction. If you find you need to make changes to a design once I have started; expect that I will need to renegotiate pricing and the schedule that was originally expected. I want to hear your thoughts and I will work with you to make sure this garment is perfect for you.

  • If there are any concerns about the fit, design, or otherwise on your commission, please, raise them immediately to ensure I can address them before my contract is fulfilled with you. It is fulfilled once the garment is paid in full and you have accepted it into your possession.

Scheduling

  • I will do everything in my power to ensure your design is finished at the scheduled time. However, bespoke clothing is time-consuming. It is expected that some unknown factors may cause small delays. Please allot at least 12 weeks from start of commission unless I have stated to you otherwise in our negotiations. Our initial consultation together will be the best advice on the allotted time for your garment.

  • In order to ensure that your garment will be complete on time, I ask that you continue to stay in communication with me. I will need many things from you to ensure the fit is perfect. Examples being: measurements, at least one mock-up fitting, fabric swatch approval, scheduled payments, etc. The garment will take additional time if I am waiting for your reply.

  • Unfortunately, if communications are unreasonably delayed, I may need to cancel or reschedule your order completion to make room for the next client in line.

  • If you need to reschedule a fitting, the original delivery date may be affected as well as other milestones for your project.

  • Urgent work is at my discretion to accept and will come with a premium fee. I value producing quality work so I may decline your commission if I do not feel certain I can make your deadline.

Cancellation Policy

  • 45% deposit is required to begin your commission

  • 25% deposit will not be refundable upon cancellation

  • I will happily refund the rest, in the event of cancellation, with exception to:

    -Cost of materials already used

-Time already spent (sketching designs, selecting fabric, constructing the garment or any mockups, etc.) charged at my hourly rate $22/hr.

-You will receive an itemized receipt/bill of everything charged if cancelled

  • If garment is complete before cancelled, the full price will still be owed.

  • If you have supplied me with items, they will be returned to you (at your expense) once bill is paid.

Regretfully, forfeited deposits cannot be applied to future orders.

Measurements

  • If you live in the Phoenix area, Kecia (designer) will schedule with you for in-person measurements. These are required for a custom fit garment. If you do not live in the area I can schedule a video call measurement appointment. The other long distance option is to work with a local tailor shop and send measurements to me from them. This step in crucial in the patterning of your garment.

  • Even if Kecia video calls you for measurements, she is not responsible for inaccuracies in the measurements. She can only assure accuracy if she has taken the measurements herself. If you are long distance and would like the most accurate measurements, I suggest you visit a tailor local to you.

  • Please take all measurements with the undergarments and footwear you plan on wearing regularly with your garment. This ensures the best fit.

  • If a weight loss, illness, or pregnancy will be a product during the garment creation, please make us aware.

Fittings & Appointments

  • Fittings are done in my home office unless otherwise agreed upon. An additional travel fee may be applied if Kecia needs to travel more than 10 miles. Travel fee would $25 per extra 5 miles. The fitting itself does not incur an additional cost as it is included in the bespoke cost.

  • Please tell me if you are bringing anyone with you to any appointments.

  • Please, bring all undergarments and shoes to all fittings to ensure I can achieve the best fit. The fitting may need to be rescheduled at which point you would be charged the cost of that fitting.

  • Fittings take place Monday-Friday between 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Some accommodations may be made if this does not fit in your schedule but only by special arrangement.

  • Fittings last about an hour. They may last a little longer if fitting multiple or more complex garments. Expect to have patience during each appointment as it takes skills to fit each garment.

  • Please contact us at least 48 hours in advance if you need to reschedule. Rescheduling may prolong the schedule of the completed garment.

Long Distance Fittings

  • I will ship a muslin mock-up to you, including instructions on how to make the adjustments needed on the mock-up. There will also be pins included to make the adjustments. I will schedule the fitting over video-call with you, if you are not using a local tailor. I will encourage you to ask a friend or family member to help with pinning and making.

  • The adjusted mock-up will need to be shipped back to Witchy Godmother Designs to continue the construction process. This expense is included in the total price.

  • Please wear the undergarments and shoes you will be wearing with the finished garment.

  • Please take photos of you wearing the mock-up once it has been marked up and email the photos to us. This will greatly help when refitting the pattern.

  • I will do all I can to make sure the garment fits you. Please be aware, since the designer cannot personally measure you; the fit is your responsibility. I am counting on you to communicate how the garment feels and any concerns you have with the fit. Communication is key as I cannot read your mind. I strive for perfection so I will do all I can to make the process as easy and simple as possible for you over the phone or video call.

Materials

  • At the initial consultation I will discuss fabrics and embellishments. I will source all the fabric.

  • If you live in the Phoenix area and would like to have a more hands on participation in the fabric choices, I can set up a time to accompany you to the few fabric stores in the area. This will come with an additional cost based on the time I am out of the office with you. This is a great way for you to understand what fabrics are best for your garment.

  • For the long distance clients, photos of the fabrics will be emailed to you. If you would like swatches mailed to you, you will need to cover postage.

  • If you would like to supply material, it is your responsibility to make sure they are appropriate the use they are intended. I reserve the right to refuse materials I deem unsuitable for your project. If you insist on using unsuitable material, I cannot guarantee a satisfactory end result.

  • If you plan on buying fabric, please make sure to buy enough for your design. Inadequate amounts of fabric may hinder the completion of your garment. Kecia can advise you on how much is needed. Any large excess pieces will be returned to you on completion of the garment.

  • Any leftover materials supplied by me will remain my property. You will only be charged what was used in your garment.

Patterns

  • All patterns drafted for your garment will remain the property of Witchy Godmother Designs. Patterns will be kept for 12 months. Should you wish to have another garment drafted from your patterns, a discount will be applied.

Payments

  • Payment plans are up for negotiation. I can discuss 3-8 installments based on the final price.

  • Payments can be made using either or a combination of: PayPal, cash(Phoenix, AZ only), or check.

  • Once payments and due dates are agreed upon it is your responsibility to make sure you meet those on time. Just as you are relying on an on time completed garment, I am relying on a completely paid garment.

  • I understand things happen or may come up where you need to change your payment due date. You must let us know in advance. I need to know of any delays in completing your project. If you miss a payment within 7 days without communicating with me, I reserve the right to apply the cancellation policy.

  • Depending on my schedule and orders if payment is delayed I may need to delay your order to make room for the next client. A new completion date will be given at my discretion. I can only hold a project for a maximum of three months before the cancellation policy will be applied.

  • An order must be fully paid before collecting or dispatching of your item(s). No exceptions. Funds must be in my bank account before collection of garment.

Garment Care, Alterations, or Repair

  • Once you have accepted the garment it will be your responsibility to take great care of it. I recommend following all care instructions given to you. If, in the the future, your garment needs to modifications, repair(due to normal wear & tear), or alterations, I am more than happy to assist you as much as I am able with my hourly rate of $22/hr. If there are damages because you did not follow the instructions repairs will be at your expense. If any damage occurs due to my craftmanship, it can be repaired free of charge, at my discretion. Every care is taken to ensure you receive the highest quality garment. Please treat your garment with the utmost care and remember that a garment of use will not stay pristine forever.

Thank you for reading all the above and trying to understand all this information. I hope this can be an example of how open I am with all my potential clients.
